I am so grateful that over the course of many decades of following Jesus, I have had the extraordinary privilege of traveling the world, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, equipping people to live out their God-given purpose, empowering women to lead, and fighting to end modern-day slavery, one life at a time.

What began as a passion to help people know Jesus and make Him known has grown into more than I could have ever imagined. Together with my husband, Nick, I founded Equip & Empower, the nonprofit ministry behind everything you’ll find here. Equip & Empower exists to share the hope of Jesus and equip people to make a difference in their world. This website, my speaking, my teaching, and more are all expressions of that mission. That same passion led us to establish A21, a global anti-human trafficking organization committed to fighting for freedom and seeing modern-day slavery abolished. It also inspired Propel Women, an initiative activating women to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and to live on mission in every sphere of life.

Along the way, I’ve written books, devotionals and Bible studies to help people grow in their faith, navigate life’s challenges and discover the extraordinary life God has called them to live. Every week, through the Equip & Empower Podcast, I have the opportunity to open God’s Word and encourage people to keep growing, keep believing and keep running their race with endurance.

Through it all, my heart has remained the same: I want people everywhere to know Jesus, experience His transforming power and live their lives wholeheartedly for Him.

Nick and I have been married for more than 30 years, and we’re the proud parents of two daughters, Catherine Bobbie and Sophia Joyce. When I’m not speaking or writing, you’ll probably find me with a cup of coffee in hand, listening to an audiobook or heading to the airport.
