Listen to the Truth
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand” (John 10:27–28, NIV).
I want to encourage you today to base your identity on the truth of God’s Word.
So many people live beneath their potential because somewhere along the way they listened to a lie and internalized it. And instead of forming their identity and value based on the truth, they literally lived out what wasn’t true.
This is a trap we can all fall into, which is why we must pay attention to the voices we listen to. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we can silence the lies, the naysayers, and maybe even ourselves and instead listen to and believe what God says and believe Him!
