No More “If Only”
Is there something God has called you to do, but, for one reason or another, you’ve hesitated?
I want to encourage you today to drop your “if only” — that thing, that excuse you might be holding on to as a reason not to step out in faith. And they can look different for every person:
- If only I wasn’t divorced.
- If only I was married.
- If only I wasn’t hurt.
- If only I wasn’t betrayed.
- If only they hadn’t died.
- If only I hadn’t lost my job.
- If only I hadn’t failed.
- If only I had a better start in life.
Don’t let what someone else did or didn’t do define your life. Don’t get stuck in past pain, bitterness, offense, hurt, loss, failure, or even success. Today, push past your “if only” and say “YES” to what God is calling you to do!
With God we will perform valiantly; he will trample our foes (Psalm 60:12, CSB).
