Series: A Passionate Life

“… for where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also” (Matthew 6:21, AMP).

I shared with you yesterday about the wide-open, spacious life Jesus came to give us. It’s what we’re created for. But far too often, we stop short of it. We lose our passion and, with it, our destiny.

You see, the life God has for us isn’t one filled with religious obligations but daring adventures. He has called us to live a life fueled by passion. And this isn’t something determined by the denomination of church you attend or your personality.

When we live with passion, we honor God powerfully. We become willing to do what He wants us to do and become who He wants us to be. It’s not a life void of trials and troubles but, rather, a life that transcends circumstances. It’s a life empowered by the Holy Spirit!
