Strength Training

… but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint

(Isaiah 40:31).

Have you ever had to train for a marathon, competition or something of that sort? Day in and day out, having to refocus, encourage yourself and try to push past any pain or obstacle? Faith is a lot like that.

Just as your body has to be worked out and strengthened, so does your soul. You see, each day the Lord is refocusing, encouraging and pushing you toward your greatest potential, but sometimes it is very difficult to see past the struggle.

We can question why this is happening and dwell on the obstacles, or we can face them head on and accept the challenge. God wants to bring the warrior out of you. 2 Samuel 22:35 says, “He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.” So let Him train you; let Him strengthen you!

Look at everything you’re going through today as strength training. Condition your soul to keep going, to keep pushing so that you can become all He’s called you to be! If you will put your hope in the Lord, trusting that He holds you through all things, He will use you in more ways than you can imagine.
