What it Takes to Leave a Legacy of Faith

We were each created to run a race unique to us and to pass our faith to the next generation as we go. But as we run, the enemy is shouting at us from the sidelines trying to distract us. He would love nothing more than for us to veer off course or stop running because of unforgiveness, bitterness, disappointment or comparison. This episode will empower you to identify things that may be weighing you down so you can run your race with confidence and grace through Jesus. 

Move Past Things that Are Weighing You Down

Every generation must encounter God for themselves, but it’s up to us to pass the baton of faith to them so they can. In Judges 2:7-13, it describes a generation who experienced a failed exchange: “...another generation grew up, who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel.” It’s hard to understand how one generation can fail to pass on the baton of faith to the next, but if we’re not intentional, we can make the same mistake.

This episode will remind you of some of the tools the enemy uses to try to pull you of course and how you can fight back. You will be equipped to: 

• See the God appointment on the other side of disappointment.
• Move past personal opinion and preference to focus on God’s truth.
• Hold fast to God’s truth in love while living in a world that believes differently than you do.
• Exercise forgiveness so you don’t get stuck in bitterness.
