Doing God’s work is not limited to being on staff at a church or being a missionary. Being about the Father’s business is something God challenges every single one of us to do as we go about our day. Every time we show kindness or love to someone in his name, we are doing his work. Every time we speak hope into a hopeless situation in his name, we are doing his work. Working Your Field

As followers of Christ, we haven’t been saved by good works, but we have been saved for good works. When Jesus came to earth, he modeled what it was to work for God here, to be about his Father’s business. He was a carpenter by trade, and yet he lived on mission for his Father as he went about his daily life. You see, how we go about our work matters. That’s why Scriptures reminds us that whatever we do, we should do it for God’s glory.
