Episode 13: Having the Courage to Believe for a Victory Before You See It

Having the Courage to Believe for a Victory Before You See It

It is God’s will that you would live an abundant, purpose-filled, fruitful life. He has already declared his promises for you - he is waiting for you to step out in faith to take hold of them. Oftentimes, stepping out requires great courage, it requires us to take risks, and God’s directions may not even make sense to us. But this is an opportunity for our faith to grow. In this episode, Christine shares how boldly confessing the promises of God found in the truth of his Word has the power to build your faith even when you can’t yet see the victory in the battle you are facing.

Speak the Promises He Has for You

In the Book of Joshua, God gave His people a battle plan. The children of God were to march around the walled city of Jericho without speaking a single word until they were told to shout, and only then would victory come. Hebrews 11:30 says, “By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.”

Notice that it was after they had done their part that God unlocked the victory he had already promised them. Remaining obediently silent made it impossible for the people to speak any doubt about God’s plan—not about how high the walls were or how unlikely victory seemed! If you’re feeling stuck, defeated, like you just can’t win, perhaps it’s time to adjust your “battle strategy.” Rather than talking about the “walls” that keep you defeated in life, find the courage to start speaking about the victorious promises God has for you even if you can’t see the victory yet.

In today’s episode, you will learn to declare God’s Word so you can:

  • Defeat doubt before it takes hold of you
  • Put an end to the fear and negativity that keep you from God’s purpose for your life
  • Have the courage to believe for victory before you see it
  • Strengthen your faith in the hard times so that you are prepared to hold onto the blessing God has for you on the other side
