A person’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand their own way? (Proverbs 20:24) There are times in our lives when God chooses not to show us the whole picture. Sometimes the only step we know to take is the one right in front of us. When you are seeking to walk in God’s ways, you can trust that He is guiding you. You might not understand why He is leading you in a certain direction, but I can guarantee He has good plans for you. So don’t be overwhelmed or concerned about your future. Take it one step at a time. Ask the Lord where He is leading you today and go forward without fear.

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us (Romans 8:18). I want to encourage you today: Don’t give up! Whenever you walk through hard times in this life, you can take comfort in the fact that God is working on your behalf. What the enemy meant for evil, our awesome God will work for good. So, no matter what you are facing, remember that God is on your side. He is with you, and as you stay faithful, He will be glorified through your life.

You can have confidence and boldness because you are a child of God! The blood of Jesus has made you righteous. When you have right-standing with God, you can stand before men without fear. Be confident in your identity in Christ and the truth that God Almighty loves you!

He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name (Psalm 147:4). Did you know that you were created for a purpose? The same God who created the stars in the heavens and calls them each by name created you. Today, remember that He cherishes you, that He loves you, and that He has created you to live out a destiny that only you can fulfill.

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done (Proverbs 19:17). We were made in the image of God. And as believers, we have been given the power to rightly reflect that image to the world around us. One way you can demonstrate God’s love today is by showing compassion to the poor and those in need. When we go out of our way to help meet another person’s needs, we show true compassion. This kind of action moves God’s heart in a big way. And when you see someone in need as the object of your ministry, rather than an interruption to your ministry, you express God’s character. So look for opportunities to minister to those in need. Show kindness and compassion. God will reward you for being His hands and feet, for demonstrating His love to a lost and broken world.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (John 1:5). In order for a flashlight to work effectively, it has to shine its light in a room full of darkness. That’s really the only way for the light to reach its full potential. Did you know that God has sent you into this world to be a light in the darkness? The light inside of you will shine that much brighter if there is darkness around you. So today, remember that God put you where you are for a reason. Let your light shine for all to see!

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). One of the amazing characteristics of our God is that He is a Healer. Through His death on the cross, Jesus purchased our healing. We can be made whole in His name – body, soul and spirit. Isn’t this awesome news?! We have powerful promises in the Word of God. So today, remember that it is by the stripes He bore and by His suffering on the cross that every area of your life will be made whole. Whatever you are needing from Him, go to Him and ask. Call on His name. He will be your Healer.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). We have an awesome promise in the Word of God that when we seek Him with all of our hearts, we will find Him. What does it look like to seek God with all of our hearts? I believe it means holding nothing back, giving Him complete access to every area of our lives. It means living passionately and in obedience. It means spending time in prayer, reading His Word and serving others. Be encouraged. God always keeps His word. As you continue your wholehearted pursuit, He will reveal Himself to you.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms (1 Peter 4:10). I often tell people to embrace their place in the Kingdom of God. Whatever gift God has placed inside of you, don’t keep it all to yourself. The Body of Christ needs you! Freely give it away. Serve others cheerfully. You will find great fulfillment as you give away what you’ve been given. Not only will you be building up the body of Christ, but you will be stewarding your gift! And as you steward what He’s given you, it will multiply. Keep going!
