Jesus Cares for You

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Today, I want to remind you that perfect peace is yours. Jesus has made a way for you to exchange your anxiety for His peace. 1 Peter 5:7 gives us the key, cast all your anxiety on Him. All means all! God’s heart is to set you free from every fear. So, whatever the source of your anxiety today, place it into His able hands. He is trustworthy, He is faithful, and He is working on your behalf. Jesus cares for you!

You Have Everything You Need

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness (2 Peter 1:3). Be encouraged by this truth today: Through the power of Jesus Christ, you have everything you need to live a godly life! So, on a daily basis ... • You can walk in wisdom. • You can love your neighbors. • You can turn away from what is evil and hold on to what is good! In Christ, you have everything you need and can do all things!

He Will Be Your Refuge

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart (Psalm 91:4). If you’ve ever been caught outside during a thunderstorm, odds are you did what I’ve done – you ran as fast as you could to the nearest shelter! I’m sure that would be anyone’s reaction to a sudden burst of heavy rain falling from the sky. Well, today, I have great news for you. Jesus has promised to be your refuge in every storm! No matter what you are going through – a marriage crisis, work difficulty, bad health diagnosis, financial struggle - you can call on the name of Jesus. He will cover you and surround you with His faithful love. He will be your refuge!

Meet with God Today

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed (Mark 1:35). I want to encourage you to meet with God today! Even Jesus needed to connect to God the Father in prayer. So, before your busy day begins, get strengthened by spending time in His presence. Here are some ideas on how to meet with God in the first hours of your day: • Make a prayer list, and pray through each item. • Take a journal, a cup of coffee and go to your favorite spot to write down your prayers. • Go for an early morning walk and talk with the Lord about all that is on your mind. • Pick a chapter in the Bible and pray through it. Ask the Holy Spirit for insight. • Read a devotional book, writing down your thoughts or questions. • Turn on your favorite worship song, and sing your heart out. God loves your worship! God is waiting and eager to meet with you this morning!

Our God is Gracious!

Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! (Isaiah 30:18)

Treasure in Heaven

"Do not store up for yourself treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal" (Matthew 6:19-20). Isn’t it exciting to know that we can store up treasure in heaven? What an awesome promise! Yet, I realize it can be easy to stay focused on our daily lives. There are so many things that can fill our time—family events, work, school, friendships, paying bills—with all this busyness, eternity can feel like an afterthought. But the truth is your choices today affect you forever. So be encouraged! Your words, your actions, how you steward money, the time you spend in prayer ... all these things, when submitted to God, can translate to treasure forever!

An Eternal Perspective

You are not a product of time. You are a product of eternity, placed in a specific time, with a specific purpose, to affect this generation. Because of this, I want to encourage you to live with an eternal perspective. God’s Word reminds us in Colossians 3:1-2 … Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. When you live your life with an eternal perspective, you’re going to see what God sees. You’re going to become who He created you to be, do all that He has called you to and experience the very best He has for you!

God is at Work in Your Life

…for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose (Philippians 2:13). Isn’t it awesome how God molds and shapes us into who He has called us to be? Personally, when I look back over my life, I can’t help but be amazed by all that He has done. And though I don’t know the specifics of what you’ve experienced in your past, what may be happening in your present, or what you fear is waiting for you in your future, this I do know: You can walk through this life with confidence knowing that God is with you, He is helping you, and He is propelling you to become all He has created you to be. Don’t get discouraged when you fail or feel weak. Let God’s power and grace work in your life. You are a child of God, and in Him, you can do all things!

Your Promised Land Is Coming

But you will cross the Jordan and settle in the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and he will give you rest from all your enemies around you so that you will live in safety (Deuteronomy 12:10).

God's Word is Alive

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). I’ve got good news for you today – God’s Word is alive and the answer for every situation in your life! If you need wisdom, you can turn to His Word. If you desire peace, you can find it through His Word. If you are seeking healing, deliverance, breakthrough, victory – you can turn to the powerful, LIVING Word of God for the answer! When you apply God’s Word in your life, you can be confident things will change and that He will speak to you. I am excited for all that He is going to do in and through your life as you look to His Word!
